The original ‘Marmox board’ is the perfect solution for insulating and waterproofing in one operation. The Multiboard is lightweight and very easy to cut with a saw or knife. Marmox Multiboard has been tested to hold a tile weight of 100kg/m2, double that of plasterboard and stronger than other tile backer boards. What are they are made of? Marmox Multiboard is made of extruded polystyrene and is fully waterproof and vapour proof, not allowing any water or steam to pass through it in the way expanded polystyrene boards do. Each face of the Multiboard is covered with a close woven fibreglass mesh embedded in a cement polymer mortar. Sizes Marmox Multiboard is available in 3 sizes; the standard board comes boxed and is 1250mm x 600mm. Longboard is 2500mm x 600mm (pallets only) and Big board is 2400mm x 1200mm (pallets only). Please note longboard & big board is NOT in cartons but are shrink-wrapped and edge protected.
